Flights

Iceland is only a 3 hours flight from cities in Europe such as London, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Amsterdam and Paris.

There are now many choices available for travelling by air to Iceland. During 2011 two Icelandic airlines will offer regularly scheduled flights from multiple cities in Europe and America. We highly recommend making reservations as early as possible, since Reykjavik is a very popular tourist destination during the summer months and the less expensive tickets are booked up fairly quickly.

Icelandair

The main airline in Iceland, Icelandair, offers many direct flights to Reykjavik from multiple cities both in Europe and in America. For online booking and all further information please see www.icelandair.com

Iceland Express

A recent budget airline, Iceland Express now offers flights from upto 20 different cities in Europe as well as New York. For booking and all further information please see www.icelandexpress.com

Scandinavian airlines – please see www.scandinavian.net

Airport transportation

Iceland’s international airport is at Keflavik, a 40-45 minutes drive from Reykjavik.

For Keflavik airport information please see www.airport.is
