An optional bus tour will be on September 7th. The bus will leave from the conference hotel at 8:30 AM. We will start by visiting a large Arctic char farm 20 km west of Reykjavík, then visit the Marine Research Institute´s mariculture laboratory near the small fishing village called Grindavík. Our next stop will be at the Rift (Gjáin) where there is an exhibition on geology and geothermal heat and how it is used in Iceland. Finally we will enjoy a light lunch at the Blue lagoon before returning to the Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition at 14:00.
